I would not buy a red one. I have had a number of red vauxhalls and they tend to fade. Not had this particular car, however have found all Vauxhalls to be relaible and get close to the quoted mpg data. However, it will depend on how you drive. Kevin

I am seriously thinking of buying an Astra VXR in the next few weeks. It will be a new car in red  with 19" alloy wheels and climate control as options.

Can anyone who owns an Astra VXR let me know how they are getting on with the car?

What are fuel costs really like?

Have you had any problems?
