does any one know how to adjust the valves on a bmw 318i touring,or know of a web site where i can get the info from cause i'm having problems finding it?( the ticking noise is realy hacking me off)

Hi, Not sure where to get the info from " other than a good old haynes " but from what you have described, it could be a hydraulic lifter failing, a worn camshaft or follower, or even a noisy injector. To compensate for a cam, follower, or lifter, by taking up the gap, is at best a very temporary solution to an engines demise.
