Used Audi A4 Convertible - any good?

Wanting a soft top before I am too old (too late perhaps) I have looked around at the ones that will still give me some useful space and 4 seats as I have a wife and 3 year old son, it seems that there are 4 possibles -
    Merc CLK ... Audi A4 ... Volvo C70 ... SAAB 9-3

I only have 5 or 6 thousand to spend and am considering the Audi - can anyone out there help through their own experience.

    Many, many thanks.

    Hi CDE,

We like Audi's, we have had a A4 h reg that did 125k miles before hubby wrote it off, Audi A6 r reg   did 159k before it started to get big bills, and now have new shape Audi A6. My only advise is avoid the Audi TT. They drop like a stone in value and tend to have been thrashed if 2nd hand.

I`d go for a BMW 3 series convertible instead...

A4 is a good choice. Used audis are very durable and will go fine even after making 100k. Volvo would be next in the line here but you'd probably have more to maintain after buying the car. If it comes to saab you will spend fortune on the parts in the future if you chose one. I have bought used audi myself and don't regret the choice.
