Unrealistic savings when switching from quarterly to monthly dd

This website is showing unrealistic savings when switching from quarterly to monthly dd.

I entered the following details via detailed search option:

supplier & tariff: southern electric - energyplus argos no standing charge.

    gas : 20500 kwh annually

    elec: 3300 kwh annually

    duel fuel customer: yes

    show all payment types

    I GOT THE FOLLOWING RESULT:

IT SHOWS ME A SAVING OF £148.40 IF I STAY WITH MY SUPPLIER & JUST CHANGE THE PAYMENT METHOD TO DD.

I called southern electric & they said the direct debit discount is 5% which will give me a saving of around £60 & not £148.

I guess all other results are flawed as well. It shows me a saving of £251.40 if i switch to british gas web saver 2. So I called british gas & they calculated & said that i would only save around £163 per year.

Who do I believe? What is the whole point of using a comparison site if the results are not what you see.

    I am confused. Please help
