    The debt if over 6 years will now be " Statute bared" They can no longer chase you for this debt after 6 years so contact you credit file company and get it removed.

    Hi,

    Hoping someone can offer me some advice....

    I have an unpaid default on my credit file from my university days. Will this stay on my file indefinately, or can it be removed after a certain number of years? It is coming up to 6 years that it has been on there?
