    Re: Unoticed missed payments

You can't get it taken off - the only thing you can do is have the debt marked as satisfied/settled once it's paid. You can have notice of correction added to your credit file if something is in dispute but unfortunately the cold hard facts are that once something is on your credit file (I guess unless you can prove that it's an error on the part of the creditor and they can agree to it) it will stay there.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but this is a lesson I've learned myself..!!!

    Unoticed missed payments

I moved house last year and have had massive problems with Abbey not changing my address. I didn't have direct debits set up for the minimum payments on my 3 credit cards I would just log on to my Abbey account and make the monthly payments online. Its partly my fault for not checking that the money didn't come out of my account to make the payments, but despite asking Abbey to change my address a number of times they didn't, because my old address on my Abbey account was different to the new address on my credit cards they didn't go through. I'm now worried that this has messed up my credit rating, does anyone know of anyway that I can get this taken off my record or is this something that I'm going to have to live with? I need to take a loan out and am worried that this has scuppered any chance of me getting one and I don't want to start applying for them only for me to be refused. Am also concerned that my fixed rate mortgage is up at the end of the year that I won't qualify for anything decent.

Any advice would be gratefully received!!
