    Good luck on Thursday.

You need to ask your question to Capital One. They will probably say that you must make the minimum payments. Your options then are to talk to your local Citizens Advice Bureau about possible courses to take, miss payments and incur penalty charges or make the payments. It is ususally not a good idea to take out new commercial borrowing to pay old borrowing.

Unemployed, cannot make my credit card payments, advice needed please

Hi everyone, i'm new here so please be nice lol.

I have a Capital One credit card (£4000 limit) which I took out in march 2008.

I lost my job in august and have been paying the minimum payment on my card each month since, however, I no longer can afford to pay the minimum amount. Is there anything I can do to lower the minimum payment, freeze the interest or payment until I get a job, etc?

On a side note, I have an interview on Thursday, so I'm hopefull that I'll be able to make my payments next month or month after.

    Thanks in advance,
    IC619
