    I already have a current account with Alliance & Leicester but they refuse to give me one that earns interest as I live out of the UK and have no address there. Does one exist with another bank?

    No. Without a UK address, you cannot open an account with a UK bank (is there a trusted friend or relative who could help with an address?)

    Your options may be limited to offshore accounts.
