I decided to take my landline and broadband seperately 1 month before each other. Land line was fine, but as soon as my broadband connected it was reduced by 1.5mb with my final throughput being reduced by 3mb. I have been constantly in touch but sent on a merrygoround for the past 3 months. 3 engineers and oversea's customer services I am dizzy, just they way the wont to treat customers. Now I am on my 4th request for my mac code without penalty and now they wont even email me. The email contact in abit of a con, you do a online email which you have no record of and you get calls from them that you cant record. I'd expect this treatment from a 3rd rated seller like Delboy, but from BT, I am shocked.
They want the full contract term of 18months before ending my contract, but I've not done anything wrong, they have supplied me with inferior service from what I was used too, thus breaking their contract to me by not providing me with bandwidth which my line is capable of.. which was 8mb+ since I am only 100mtr from the exchange. I have found their tactics disgraceful and to a point Aggresive. Why try and retain a customer if their not happy? Let them go and if your services are better than everyone else then they'll come back!! Not Likely for me! So does anyone know what else I can Do to terminate my broadband contract and keep my Telephone contract???
