Yes, Nationwide cards will probably be the cheapest way to spend while you are there but you will need some cash from a machine as well. The cheapest flights can be found by spending time on the internet.

As for anything else, steer clear of dodgy substances, people and places.

    Travelling Advice needed

Im planning to visit Amsterdam at the end of Feb for the weekend with a couple of friends, hopefully departing from London from the Friday. I was wondering has anyone been there or can anybody give me advice and how to get the cheapest package, including flight, hotel, insurance or whether I should book the flight and hotel separately. Also anything else that I havent mentioned that you can advise me on.

Also can anyone tell me whats the best way to go about paying for stuff out there, should I just go to an bareau de change and get euros, if so wheres the best places? Or are travellers cheques a better idea or my last idea off opening up a Nationwide Flex account and transferring money into it. Any other ideas will be appreciate.

    Cheers Folks

    Marcus
