    Gmac:

Any pointers on who would provide such a cover as every option I have looked at requires that the journey originates in the UK.

You should get a few quotes from insurers or travel agents in whichever country you work.

    Re: Travel from outside UK

    I have a similar query.

My girlfriend and I work outside the UK, but our perminent residence is in the UK. We haven't been home in over a year due to work and want to take a 3 week vacation in the USA. Our work insurance will not cover us when on personal travel, and we are looking for insurance for the 3 weeks we will not be covered by our employer. Any pointers on who would provide such a cover as every option I have looked at requires that the journey originates in the UK.

Consider a 12 month policy. Presumably if you travel a lot it is difficult to say when one journet finishes and another begins because, for a 12 month policy, it doesn't really matter. It's usually a requirement for UK insurers that you live permanently in the UK which means perhaps a period of 3 months+ and a UK address when the policy starts..

    Travel from outside UK

    Hi

I spend alot of time outside the UK and am looking for a travel holiday insurance policy that offers cover for journeys commencing outside of the UK. Does anyone have any suggestions? All the ones I have looked at so far (at the cheaper end of the market) only cover for travel starting in the UK....

    thanks!
