Hi,

I have an insurance question please and Google is offering no answers!

My wife has always been the policy holder of our car insurance and myself the named driver. She has full NCD.

She is now getting a company car and we are changing the private car to a different one. I should be the policy holder i think as i will drive the new private car 90% of the time.

Can she transfer her NCD to me when she takes on the company car, so we can continue to benefit from it?

If the insurer you choose will accept it,you can get your wife to sign a disclaimer waiving her rights to the private car  ncd and transfer it into your name,you will then become the main user so will have control over the ncd ,once you sign it into your name you cant transfer it back to your wifes name.

Hastings direct will allow this if you want to give them a try!!
