    Re: Transfer ISA

Hmmmmm. My understanding of ISA transfers is that you apply to the institution that you want to transfer to (Bradford and Bingley), give them the details of your current ISA supplier (Icesave), and B and B then handle the transfer. Obviously there has been correspondence between B and B and Icesave and this correspondence has not been received properly by B and B. It should be B and B's responsibility to chase and sort this out, because you have no knowledge of what has happened. B and B should resubmit the request to Icesave and talk to them as there is supposed to be a system for this. I see little point in spending money on phonecalls to Icesave right now. This is what should happen:

    Re: Icesave enquiry

I'd suggest first step is calling Icesave. If its engaged, just keep hitting redial - you should get through eventually, but may take half an hour. Failing that I really dont know.

    Transfer ISA

Can anyone advise. Several weeks ago I tried to transfer my ISA from Icesave to Bradford and Bingley. Icesave sent me a letter saying that they had closed my account and sent the cheque and transfer documents to B&B who claim they have not received them (not just a delay in processing, they are NOT in their inbox). Icesave said they would require written confirmation from B&B that they did not receive, then they would reinstate my ISA, This I obtained (full marks to BB) and sent off to Icesave. They have not reopend the account and so I don't know where my funds are and apart from the letter from Icesave I have no other proof. Can anyone suggest how I appraoch this with regard to the refund of deposits?

    Thanks
