    Tiscali - Disconnection

    Hi

I wonder if anyone can help. - We signed up for Tiscali more than 3 years ago and have been reciving a fairly good service (compared to some of the write ups). The problems have only started to occur recently when we received a default notice from a credit agency advising that we owend them nearly £600 despite a direct debit being set up when we first joined.

It turned out that they had only taken 1 direct debit payment in all of this period. I know it was stupid of us not to check but we didn't. Anyway the bottom line is we have tried to contact the credit agency and Tiscali direct - tiscali proves difficult even to speak to somebody that understands English. The credit agency said they would discuss with Tiscali but we never heard anything back from them.

A few weeks later we received a letter from the Credit Agency advising that we had defaulted on our agreement (what agreement we do not know).

We then recieved last week a disconnection notice and our broadband has now been cut off. We now do not have broadband or a telephone line. My partner is disabled and needs access to a phone and despite the fact that we continue to pay BT a line rental on a phone line we cannot us it to dial out.

Please can you help as I am reaching despseration.

    Re: Tiscali - Disconnection

Try giving Customer Relations at Tiscali a call on 0207 087 2000.

I had a similar problem with Tiscali in that they were charging us for broadband as well as dial up at the same time. I got all the refunds promised and cancelled the contract one month early after speaking to Customer Relations. I'm not promising a miracle but they are certainly more clued up than the usual customer service agents you get on the various 0845 numbers.

    Good luck x
