    This Cannot be Right Surely!!!!

I have a contract with t-mobile for my mobile phone. I finished my 18mth contract with them in January 2009 and they asked me was there anything that interested me so i said am not sure whether i want to be tied into it again for 18mths the guy on the phone said that i would not be because i have not signed anything and all i had to do was ring them back and give them a months notice, okay that will do me thanks very much goodbye. Fairly happy with the payment and waited for my new phone. A few weeks ago a t-mobile employee rang me saying that because i had been with them so long they had a deal for me to get wireless internet for £9pm and no more (i have the phone call recoreded on my phone) its the best on the market he told me blah blah blah so i said okay. Now i want out because i want a change but when i rang them the other day they said there was a EARLY TERMANATION CHARGE how when am not ment to tied into anything. I just keep getting fobbed off when i ring and the line goes off most of the time.

Is there anything i can do?

    Thanks

This is difficult as there is not enough data to give you a solid answer, however ...

You have effectively signed up to a broadband deal which will be for 'x' number of months at the price stated. This is a contract and as such you would pay for an early release if you wanted out for any reason other than breach of contract. You are tied in, and unless you can PROVE that they mis-sold you this or failed to state that this was a contract, you cannot use your "get out of contract free" card.

Sorry - that's why I don't use T-Mobile any more - too many weasels and not enough honesty.

    SHARK!
