    The Mobile Outlet customers thread

Well The Mobile Outlet has gone into administration, taking with it our obvious claims for cashback payments. After reading other threads about people in similar situations with other companies, I would like to try to force my operator into honouring the cashback payments I am due.

If you too have been affected by TMO's decline and would like to join me in my mini-crusade, please add a message to this thread. I haven't managed to get too much information off TMO's website unfortunately. I have their T&Cs though and a screenshot of a 12 month deal they were offering with 3 telecom. My contract is with T-Mobile though, so I'm not sure how helpful that will be...

We can give it a go though!

    Like you I got stung.

Despite repeated promises and excuses, I received nothing on a twelve month 'free' contract with Orange.

I even tried to visit them but they had moved, even though the address on the website hadn't been changed.

They shouldn't be allowed to get away with it.

I have written to the receivers with details of my claim but have not had a response from them. I am not expecting any joy.

    It is worth trying anything.

If it sounded too good to be true, it probably was!

Re: The Mobile Outlet customers thread

Same story with me. My partner and I both signed up and received first 2-3 payments but then fobbed off and cut off every time we called. We successfully claimed back £480 (between us) and we're still owed £480 (between us). I progressed a claim through the courts but Bayliff turned up to an empty office and was not able to recover anything.

I have emailed Watchdog (BBC) about this a few times but heard nothing back. Not sure what to try next. Please let me know if you have any joy.

Re: The Mobile Outlet customers thread

we need to try to put together some proof that it wasn't made clear that we were agreeing a separate contract with the carrier and the agent. does anyone happen to have any adverts or screen grabs which advertise these 12 month free deals? i have one for 3, but as my contract is with T-Mobile, I don't think it'll get me very far!

copies of contracts, anything. we need to make the argument that the network should honour the deal because the agent didn't sell the deal as 2 different contracts...
