The great 'Wilfing' (what was I looking for?) debate
We issued a story over the weekend looking at the phenomenon of 'Wilfing', (What was I look for?) or aimless surfing syndrome. Little did we realise it would become an international story, it appears that all over the world people admit to wilfing.
We'd be interested to hear from anyone out there about their wilfing experiences, do you admit doing it, what are your favourite ways to wilf and what would you like to wilf more?
Cheers
Jason

Re: The great 'Wilfing' (what was I looking for?) debate
I'll start the ball rolling, I'm a football wilfer and often find myself looking wandering around any old football website or chatroom.
I really enjoyed visiting here: http://www.footballgroundguide.co.uk/ and was wilfing so much I visited virtually every page on UK football grounds.
Sad isn't the word really....
I'd really like to see more wilfing-specific sites where the point is not to do anything but to just float around with mood lights and jazz music......

Re: The great 'Wilfing' (what was I looking for?) debate
Mood lights and jazz music?? No, no, no, no.......!!
I'm more of a directable wilfer - the 'blind leading the blind' kinda thing. Someone will send me a link to something specific, and, when I get to the page, and have read what I want to read (or what they want me to read), I will find myself clicking all over the place and wandering around, figuratively speaking, the www at large.
I have to point out, though, that there is no such thing as 'aimless' surfing. The acquisition of knowledge, no matter how obscure, is a skill I plan to pass onto my children!!!!!!!
Oh, and that syndrome you mention? Don't acronym that one, will you?

Me too Zizzy, my girlfriend has often complained about my wilfing so I try to make up for it in other ways...

Behave!!
Thanks for that CMK. As I have no girlfriend to annoy (or male counterpart for that matter) I can wilf all I like. And I do! The kids complain when I don't remember to feed them, though!

Re: The great 'Wilfing' (what was I looking for?) debate
I am an evening wilfer.... it was through a spot of wilfing that i came across MS, and I've been hooked ever since! I must admit I'm now not so 'worried' either thanks to everyone here and their good advice. Wilfing has also sparked my interest in volunteer work and cat cuddling, so I've done my bit for society 'cause of it!

Re: The great 'Wilfing' (what was I looking for?) debate
It's good to see that Wilfing has gone completely international - it seems that everyone in the world now identifies with wilfing and admits to doing it.
Is there anyone who has recently admitted to wilfing?
