aye they came out and taken a look on monday.

rang up today, saying the screen has come.. costing £550 to repair, only paid 575 for the tv.. stupid, just replace the tv?

Yes, a few stores do the same. If there's a problem in the first month, they'll replace. If there's a problem after the first month but within the guarantee, they'll repair. If the problem isn't properly fixed, then you can ask them to try and repair it again but if they still don't get it fixed, they you can suggest that they replace instead. If the TV comes back fine, then there isn't an issue.

There will probably be a failed component in the TV which will just need replacing and I expect that the component will be replaced with a new one.

Purchased a Panasonic TX-P42G20 Plasma 12/02/2011

The screen has a fault and reported 27/04/2011.

The repair company has just been authorised to do a repair.

Only had this TV over 2 months, surely Tesco`s should replace it for a new one?

Is they any thing that can be done, as dont expect a TV ov this quality to pack up after 2 months.

Tesco`s say if it happened within 28 days then yes..

Please advise.
