if that is the case you will be best to use someone like currencies direct who will give you a decent exchange rate [ was that factored into the price you quoted ? ] and do an electronic transfer to a US bank, currently FOC I think if you are a regular customer ; and I understand you will be able to do the whole thing on line shortly according to their website

Can anybody recommend a safe, reliable, low cost company to use to transfer amounts of money (in US Dollars), of between £500 & &2000, from UK to USA? Looking on-line I got £46 cost to free, but was unsure about reliability and safety of most companies, as this is new territory for me.
