    Sunglasses/Glasses Insurance

Wondering if you might be able to help?

I am off to Switzerland on Saturday morning until Wednesday afternoon - I'm 26 and will be on my own - and was wondering how I go about making sure my Chanel Sunglasses and Prada reading glasses are covered???  I have been looking into policies as I ALWAYS lose my glasses on holiday (usually one pair but not both!!) and want to have the reassurance that should I lose them, that I will be covered.  I do not hold receipts for them as I purchased them in New Zealand before I immigrated to the UK and did not have to include this in my policies I had at home.

Who is it best to go through?  Or do you have better suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: Sunglasses/Glasses Insurance

You will definitely struggle to get full cover for them here in the UK. Many policies specifically exclude sunglasses and glasses whilst the ones that will cover them may then have a limit for the amount that they will pay for unreceipted goods.

If you have a home contents insurance policy you may find that you are more likely to be insured for the full value of the item on this policy.

    Hope this helps
