I just wonder how much 'legal' tax avoidance there is. I suspect it runs into billions of pounds.

This is not just about public sector contracts to high paid individuals but also to anyone privately employed who uses the tax system to their advantage. As soon as a government closes one loop hole, another is found.

Perhaps if the treasury via HMRC collected all taxes that should be due, the government would not have to borrow so much and they would not have to make some of cuts they are making.
