    Statisfied Default

    Hi,

I need some help. I stupidly defaulted on one of my credit cards about 4 years ago. This was caused by a change of address and yes as silly as it seems I didnt realise I had the outstanding amount. I'm pleased to say I am much better with me finance management nowadays.

Any how I paid the outstanding balance to the recovery agency about two years ago.

Now I live in Asia i'm finding it very difficult to get buy with out a credit card especially for security! This there anyway I can have this removed from my credit report.. and where do I start? I'm really lost with it and just want to move forward.

    Look forward to your response.

This may be a silly answer. But if you live in Asia and have banking/financial arrangements there, why don't you arrange a credit card locally.

The Asian banks/ card issuers may not even check your UK credit record. As long as you have a job and ok banking, they may be willing to issue a credit card.
