    Hi

I definately think it is worthwhile approaching CAB / Shelter if you are worried about keeping a roof over your head. You may be able to get a crisis loan from the benefits agency - it is an interest free loan that is repaid from benefits

That's the way to go. !

    Re: Someone Please Help...........

Sorry to hear about the circumstances.

You've probably done all these things but...

What about talking to your bank directly? Have you discussed your change in circumstances with them?

What about an overdraft or extension to it? Or a personal loan from them?

Have you looked at the loans comparison on the main site (I'm guessing you have).

If you have other outgoings, you may be able to discuss that you are having trouble making payments as you have been on sick leave, but now are back at work, and need to reduce your bills until payday.

You could discuss this with your landlord also, and you may be able to do something about the rent.

I know it is hard to ask and you probably want to stand on your own two feet, and your parents might not have the money, but a loan from friends or family might be another way. If you can treat it as a normal loan, to see if they would be able to do this.

I'm not sure if you have a chance of getting your money back... probably not. There are some other threads about this.

Good luck and I hope the person that assulted you gets whats coming to them. You may be able to take them to court if they are caught for loss of earnings!

    Sparky.

    Re: Someone Please Help...........

Unfortunately the issue is that I usually have plenty of money to cover all my rent, bills and more but was assaulted and it stopped me from working for 4 wks and they only pay you 3wks of £79 a wk and that has put me in real trouble as it has quaurtered my income in a month...........just thought I better explain things properly.

I just wanted this loan to tide me over till the next month then pay it off bit by bit with the piece of mind it was money well borrowed. I really do have a big problem........I really wish companies would look at circumstances. I also cant believe how stupid I was to pay out money to brokers that could have went on food and essentials. Just wish someone could recomend a solution cause im all out of answers for myself

Thank you for the advice Sparky

    Re: Someone Please Help...........

You need to get in contact with your local Citizens Advice Bureau about your housing issue, as it appears this is the issue rather than debt (unless it is rental arreas).

Stay as far away from expensive loans as possible as they will only add to your problems.

Generally companies / brokers that charge you to find loans are not great. You could find loans looking at the rest of this site.

    Good luck,

    Sparky

    Someone Please Help...........

I am in tears. I need a loan fast and no one wants to give me one. I am a private tenant for 4 months ( i lived at my previous address with my parents for 9yrs), have never had credit before in my life, work 21 hours a week plus my tax credit income and have always been careful with my money, at the moment I have hit hard times which involves me losing mine and my 2yr old daughters home if I cant get a loan to get us over this uncertain time. I have applied for £1500 and no one will help me. I am desperate and have thought about looking into a loan shark but I really don't want to get involved in that kind of thing. Please help me. I have also paid out a total of £200 to brokers that are supposed to help me but they aren't doing anything for me at all.
