    Re: SOL 12 Tariff Information

    spenk:

Can't answer your specific question about the SOL 12 tariff last August but current SOL 12 prices and price increase history is normally available on comparison websites.

Watch out for a couple of Npower gotchas though. £100 of the savings comparison is only paid after 12 months, so when you say you might have wanted to take your custom elsewhere are you sure about that?

Also you need to check whether or not the tariff you are on features seasonal weighting of the primary rate charge. That might be another reason why the current debit seems high. All explained in a link from the Npower website.

    SOL 12 Tariff Information

Wondering whether someone could help? End of August last year I joined nPower on their SOL 12 (gas and elec) tariff - apparently one of the cheapest online tariffs at the time. After problems getting account reference numbers, getting DD payments made & getting gas readings sorted everything seemed OK. I was paying £80 a month which I knew was a bit short with the increases due & coupled with late start in DD and higher winter usage I expected to be a few hundred behind. After having already paid £500 (will have to double check with bank) my latest bill after providing them with meter readings is nearly £750 debit! After double checking my online bills I noticed that they had me on some online 4 elec and online 5 gas tariff. Easy - they had me on the wrong tariff - rang them and was told that there was only decimal pence in it? Can anyone provide me with the charges for KWh (initial and subsequent unit) for SOL 12 from august last year - and have the prices gone up dramatically since then? Reason I ask is that because I was on a different tariff I had no communication reference tariff increase and if they did go up I may have wanted to take my custom elsewhere.

Apologies for the long post but wanted to include enough info. Would class myself as just below a high user (after 8 months I've used 3541 KWh elec and 13607 KWh gas).
