"These loans are on the borderline of legality with extortionate rates, and the sooner you get away from this the better."

Hi Sparky, can you elaborate on that? I assume you are talking about something relating to "usury" which I thought existed until, and it was a while ago, a reputable source I can't remember either said it didn't ever exist or not anymore. Off the top of my head "Borro" proudly say that their rate is one of the best in their industry and publish it as around 85% pa. which to be fair is better than 100%.

    Thanks, access.

Try your local credit union. Good for small loans

    Agree with comments from Sparky.

You could also contact your bank and see if they will provide a loan. Your bank may be prepared to help you with an affordable loan, depending on your record with them.

If you are finding that your financial commitments are now exceeding your earnings, you really need to sit down and work out a budget. If you don't, you could end up with ever increasing loans to get you by. Debts can quickly accumulate and it can become difficult to get out of the situation.

You haven't provided any information about your ability to get a 'mainstream' loan.

You can do a search / comparison of these on this site (go to the Money tab above) or use the tool to the right----->

If you went to a pay day loan company it was obviously because you couldn't find an alternative at the time.

These loans are on the borderline of legality with extortionate rates, and the sooner you get away from this the better.

You will need to check your credit record for any reasons (Defaults, CCJs etc) that may prevent you from gettting a high street loan, and also see if it is affordable.

    Good luck

    Sparky.

Small loan to rid of payday loan

I'm looking to get a loan of £800 to pay off a current outstanding payday loan and another outstanding bill. Both have to be paid in my next wage and I just don't have enough money. Does anyone know of a company who would let me have £800 asap but would let me pay it off in installments?
