    Re: Sky Broadband: Positive Experiences.

    Hi,

Ive had no problems with sky at all. After having Sky tv for about a year and having problems with my previous broadband provider, i switched to Sky. I've only had it for just over a month but im not gettin full speed of the broadband but i read in one of the other posts a way to try get the full speed so i will try that. Apart from that everything has been 100% fine.

Hello you can call Sky and ask them to change your settings to "no telemarketing" that way you will stop getting calls.

I was going to go for the 16MB/s MAX Package as my local exchange is ADSL2+ enabled.

Are Sky BB finally sorting it out, or were the original problems only in the early stages of them offering BB?

I have had 8mb broadband from Sky, with telly and phone for 4 months. No probs, happy with connection and speed, happy with bills. I've posted on another thread before this that my only worry is that they keep calling to check everything is ok.

Only plusses from me as far as Sky is concerned.

Lucky or they just got it right this time?

    Sky Broadband: Positive Experiences.

After reading so many horror stories of SKY BB, I'm so unsure as to what to do now.

I am currently with AOL BB at £29.99 a month with 8MB download and unlimited.

However I want the new 16MB broadband at £10 a month as this is also Unlimited.

I have read all of these horror stories about MAC codes etc so thought the best idea would be to simply cancel my AOL contract and wait until my line is clear.

Then order Sky as there will be no conflict.

I have rung up both BT and Sky and they have told me that only AOL and Sky Broadband are installed at my exchange so clearly ADSL2+ is available for my line, which means I will be able to get upto 16MB/s

However, what exactly were the problems with you people, at what stage of installation?

I don't want a blotch on my bills you see.

And has anybody had a positive experience with SKY BB switching from AOL?
