If the Travel Insurance did not cover the missed departure, then I can't think of another way of claiming back some of the cost of the holiday.

As with all Insurance issues, always ask the Insurers for an explanation in writing as to why they are unable to meet any of the claim. Check the policy carefully and if you think you have reason to make a complaint, do so in writing asap.

I am trying to establish whether there is another way of trying to get my money back from a failed ski trip last weekend. I missed my flight, couldn't get to the airport, due to my car failing me. Taxi companies would not run in the weather, tried 8 different firms. I am not covered on my insurance as my flight did leave on time and my premium did not cover me for missing the flight due to car letting me down.

I have tried the travel company, the brokers who I booked with and my credit card company but all have said no.

Any other ideas?
