Virgin is just an acceptable face, could have been several, ( All Hype & No substance...i.e No threat to the main players !!), look behind the mask ?

It is not the fact it has been a thrown back into the swamp, for relatively nothing ?

The real tradgedy is that,"It now loses its Potential, to be used, to enable the rest of the banking industry to be measured", and therefore easily be called to question.

You should look at the people doing the selling, and what motives/ Intrests were being served in selling an operation heading in the right direction, stripped of its most toxic debt, at easily the worst time to sell such an operation ?

You may find their strings are being pulled, quite firmly, from far away, exotic, places full of "Bandidos with stuffed pockets!".

    The real power !

nothing will change. virgin isnt a massive powerful company like people think it is.

virgin money has been bobbing along for years and hasnt really come up with outstanding deals in the past.

many of virgins businesses just bob along.

virgin media, not really outstanding when compared with skys deal ( and i dont even have sky)

virgin music, seems to have vanished almost.

virgin cosmetics had pulled out of the high street.

virgin rail has improved but not at a rate most people would expect it too.

    only time will tell

It should have stayed in "Public Ownership" !

All profits reinvested in the business, ethical practices, a benchmark in the British Banking world.

The greedy banks have no yardstick, other than themselves, by which to measure their conduct / practices, so they don't even know they are doing wrong, and if the status quo is maintained as is, we will go through all this again in the future!

In a boom...bailout cycle, the boom is enjoyed by a select few, the bailout is suffered by the majority who have very little other choice in real terms.

Those caught in the media spotlight now, are not the main players, just "Wannabees! ".

The real "Bandits" in this, have stuffed their pockets, and are long gone, identity intact ! " src="http://www.moneysupermarket.com/community/emoticons/emotion-59.gif" />" src="http://www.moneysupermarket.com/community/emoticons/emotion-19.gif" />

Their type do not get their "Trotters" dirty in cleaning up such mess !

They do not build / rebuild, they just feed, & pillage, and will not surface again until all has been put right...... and then,"It will be harvesting time again !!!!".

    Unless we stop them ???" src="http://www.moneysupermarket.com/community/emoticons/emotion-5.gif" />
