    Re: Shocking BT!

    Hi novaboydie

I know just how you're feeling and you're not the first to come on here moaning about BT!

I spent the WHOLE day at work yesterday TRYING to sort out a query on a bill with BT.

I must have made around 15 phone calls, 10 e-mails and am still none the wiser!!! I would rather have been working on generating an income so that I can pay my BT bills!!! It's absolutely hopeless, you spend upto 1 hour waiting for an answer, after presssing option 1, 4, etc. and then are told it's the wrong department and the whole process starts again. When you finally get through to the right department, 9 times out of 10 you can't understand a word they say!!!Argghhhhh.

    Shocking BT!

    Hi all,

First post,I signed up to BT on the 18th of Feb I was planning on moving my Phone and broadband back to BT from Plusnet.I received my welcome letter telling me that thing's were in hand my broadband and phone would be switched on 3rd of March. The next day a new letter from BT,it was my address on the letter but someone else's name I opened it and found to my horror that some one else had been set up with broadband at my address?

I phoned BT (A complete Nightmare) and tryed to talk to some on in sales, was told that my problem had to be sorted by some one in Customer services,so after 5 mins of taliking to India (BRITISH telecom ) I was getting no where the gentleman on the phone, could not understand my N.Ireland accent, any way after a long time on hold I got back to the UK.The lady on the phone could not find my account, her team leader did and told me there had been an error,2 accounts had been set up at my address and that the MAC code had been entered incorrectly. But he could not sort it out I would have to re-submit everything again over the phone, cancelled all my order then and there,Im staying with Plusnet and all this just to get some bloody TV box,Im going out to buy a freeview recorder.

I tryed to keep it short im not going to go in to detail about how many times I was passed pillar to post, and whay do so called British companys think its OK to out source customer services to an other country, when its so obvious that there are severe language barriers.

A shambles from start to very quick finish!
