    Re: Shares

In my opinion, the FTSE is close to it's bottom. It has fallen to 3800 and it might fall below 4000 again but I would consider that a buying oportunity rather than a time to sell. I don't follow US or other overseas markets.

    Hi

I currently have a mixed bag of shares spread over the UK FTSE, global funds, American growth funds etc; All with Halifax share portfolio. Over the last year they have dropped by around £15K, I understand they are for long term gains and should just leave them be till the economy picks up however with all the large companies going into administration I am concerned that I could actually lose a chunk of the money. Please can you clarify for me.

    Thanks

    Lisa
