If you sell to a breakers yard you will not get a reasonable price. The going rate for a ten year old MOT failure is £30 which, if you find a decent yard, will include collection and they might even let you take the wheels/battery/etc. back if they're any use to you. Breakers yards make a lot of money. I recently bought one side window for £15 - half what they paid for the whole car! But, because they have no problem finding vehicles to dismantle, they wont pay more than £30 or so unless yours is a recent model or a scarce make.
If you want to get more than a breakers yard will give you, try listing the car on eBay with all faults clearly described and photographed. On eBay a ten year old MOT failure will often sell for £100 with a little luck.
I don't know the details of the car involved, hence I'm talking about a ten year old MOT failure. But you wont get a decent price from a breakers yard.
