Re: Savings assessment re dual fuels
Utility Warehouse do back up their Services with the Triple Value Guarntee, it's not lies.
1 - Guarentee our prices will always be cheaper than British Gas
2 - Guarentee our prices will always be cheaper than the prices charged by the regional electricity supplier where you live
3 - Guarentee prices will always remain competitive with the cheapest standard tariffs available from the 'Big 6'
A seperate guarentee is that we will save you money compared to BT's best prices or your whole bill is free. Not part of the triple value, that relates to Energy supplies, but still a guarentee. As far as i know you can't just go around giving guarentees without any substance or I think you'd soon fall foul of a regulator somewhere.
Hope that helped?

Re: Savings assessment re dual fuels
Rob,
I can't find anything on this triple value guarantee. I have emailed UW but haven't had a response from them.
There does seem to be a dicount club that they have but looking through the forum discussions and reviews, it appears that peoples opinions and experiences of this scheme are very varied.
In my opinion I would stick to using moneysupermarket's price comparison tool. The information on the site is accurate and shows you all the latest tariffs from the major UK energy providers. It's FREE and you could be on your way to saving £££s within a matter of minutes.

Re: Savings assessment re dual fuels
Rob,
Under the Energywatch code of confidence (which regulates the Utilities comparison sites) we are obliged to list the tariffs from the licensed suppliers.
Utility Warehouse are a supplier agent so we do not list them.
With regards to their guarantee, I am not aware of this but would be more than happy to look into it further for you.
I'll hopefully have some feedback for you on this matter within the next couple of days.
Kind regards,

Savings assessment re dual fuels
Could you tell me why Utility watehouse is not mentioned at all in the assessment .
Are their execs telling lies when they say that they have a Triple value guarentee, which guarentees to always be cheaper than British Gas, and yet your assessment indicated that British Gas would provide the greatest savings for me???
