I have £3,000 to invest in a savings/ISA account. I will be able to save a further £200 a month. I do not have an existing saving scheme and need advice.

Stick with mainstream, UK high street banks and building societies. The "money" search tool on this site will come up with a list and you can go down that list until you come to someone that you know and trust. The limit for a cash ISA is £3600 per year.
