You are barking up the wrong tree!

    Listen carefully!

This message is to those that drive diesel vehicles.

Diesel is at least 1.35 per litre.

New Cooking oil is 70p per litre (Rape seed or Corn oil as long as it is liquid at room temperature)

Diesels will run on cooking oil as long as you mix it with ordinary diesel. Half a tank of Diesel to Half a tank of Cooking Oil will work quite happily. Do not attempt to run your engine on 100% Cooking Oil. It will not start.

Cooking oil will clean your fuel system and may mean that you need to change your filter. Engines running on Cooking Oil will emit far less harmful products out of the exhaust pipe.

The government will try to charge you duty on the oil but it is not getting the message. The amount of duty in UK motor fuels is double that which our european neighbours charge.

I am not suggesting that any of your members do this but they are entitled to the information.

thanks but no thanks..for a start the smell coming from the cars that run on this is nausiating and i would much rather pay for tried and tested methods than supposed cheaper alternatives that have not been proven beyond reasonable doubt as sustainable alternatives.

as for the community post, does money supermarket have no morals about getting consumers into more and more debt.

we should be focusing on how to solve the current situation and bring down the cost of fuel overall not ways on how to afford the already sky high prices .

Re: Save pounds on fuel costs

I blame the goverment for the cost of fuel the amount of money thay are getting, Double the amount in taxs from the oil companys becouse of the cost of a barral oil thay could offset the prise at the pumps which thay have done in India to keep the cost of living down , If nuthing is done beleve me the next round of pay talks will be in double figers and the goverment will blaim us for being greedy And wy do we have to keep paying more than the rest of E U france dont even pay road tax. and b---ks to the green party without fuel it cost me more than £500 to put my car on the road and thay tell me to leve it at home and i only do about 5000 miles a year
