Re: Save on your weekly shopping bill

Giong food shopping has now officially become a nightmare! i find myself in the supermarket at least three times a week just getting bits and pieces to last the rest of the week, like packed lunch bits for the kids and different things to complete a meal for that nights tea, but going several times a week costs you more even though you buy less when you go, because supermarkets are very goot at putting the special offers either near the till or in the doorway when you walk in, or move a big stand of treats to the end of the teabag isle, so when ive got the kids with me its impossible to avoid the sweety isle! ive started to but the non branded foods like tesco own bolognese sauce instead of dolmio its half the price, i like the teabag idea, coz a cup of tea is a cup of tea isnt it? i have a habit of not carrying cash with me so always use my bank debit card to pay for my shopping at the till, so i thought of an idea which will help people like me who dont normally use cash. i have started to write a strict list of the things i NEED and roughly work out how much it will cost, on the way into most supermarkets there is a cash machine outside, so just draw the amount out of bank that you think you will NEED to spend and stick to your list , this way youre not tempted to buy extra things you dont need just add the things up as you go along and if you've gone over budget you know you've got something in that trolley you shouldnt have!! so put it back! you dont NEED it !! hope this helps at least one person , thanks for the tips .
