Ripped of by Microline Mobiles / mailorderphones.com

Hi everyone, I have been a customer from last 5 years of Microline Mobiles who have been trading in West Ealing and Uxbridge. They have made millions doing this business and not paying cash back to their customers. I am one of them . They owe me £564 as cashback claim. I have going from pillar to post but they are making excuses to give me the cash back money. I am totally ripped off by their trick and complained to 3G Network, Southwark Council & trading standards. I have written several emails and made hundreds of phone call to resolve the problem but nothing happens. Their cash back department never takes the phone call. I am trying to go to small claim court but don't know the procedure to be honest. Please help me to alert other users regarding this fraud company.

Hi I have had similar experiences with different companies and I have had my money back every time. I go to my local County Court and get a (FREE OF CHARGE) set of papers to start a small claims application, in the pack there are 3 copies of the claim form and what I do is copy all the evidence and fill out one claim form and send it to the company concerned with a letter saying that if they do not send payment within 7 working days then I will take it further and actually make a claim in the County Court. When they receive this paperwork they know that you are serious and it will cost them even more so they always pay up. In the pack is all the info and help you need to help you make a claim and you get the £30 court fee back in your claim if you have to take them to court I have not as yet taken any company to court Just make sure of your facts (no small print exclusions etc) and go for it, It is most satisfying when a cheque comes through the letter-box.

    Hi,

Well strange why my previos post has been taken off but there was a nice link which i had sent it previously which was from one of the top publishers.

It seems everyone has been ripped off by them and still people are going to them. I belive people should realize by reading the posts that they are sure to be ripped off when it comes to cashback.

Microline has to give a proper explanation to the happenings !! If they have one!!

I belive the forums are meant in a impartial way so please put my initial posting back!!

    Thanks
    Jacko

You posted your message on this website some 6 months back but have not come back to let us know what progress you have made in this matter.

Or for that matter, has anyone sued Microline and had a court decision in their favour?

I have been their customer since last three years and have always received my cash back, amounting to more than £1,000 at a time.

I was worried when my last cash back claim of almost £1,000 was submitted just couple of days before expiry date of making claim, but they paid up without any hassle.

Did you submit your claim according to your contract and in time?

I had one month bill missing but they accepted a copy downloaded from the internet.

I understand that Daily Mirror has tendered their apologies for incorrecting reporting.

The market trend has now changed and the mobile companies are no longer offering those lucrative deals anymore through dealers and this may have affected business of quite a lot of dealers.

I would be careful dealing with any dealer if I was offered a deal which would not make any sense in the present market condition.

Re: Ripped of by Microline Mobiles / mailorderphones.com

I am aware of someone who is having trouble with Microline. Apparantly they are in dispute about 'in time' is supposed to mean. The wording of Microline's terms seem to be open to interpretation and they seem to use it to avoid paying. Going to court seems expensive so my friend is taking the loss.

Do you have some details about the Daily Mirror article - date of publication, reporter? I'd like to pass that on to my friend. Maybe it will help the Mirror to verify if there is some sharp practice going on.

Please look up on this FORUM -  Daily Mirror Appology to Microline

I believe that rudeness, confrontation does not solve any problem. If you are not happy with a response from a particular person in any organisation, request that you want to speak to someone at a Senior level.Every business and organisation have some or other problems and these are created by employees who do not know the rule or they try to fob off the customers for reasons best known to them.I sugget your friend first ascertain that he has followed all the procedure requested for Cash Back correctly. If not, then he should try to persuade the company politely and request them to consider his/her case as a gesture of goodwill. If required, refer them to this forum and tell them how their services have been appreciated by someone and that they would not like to have the image of their organisation tarnished.I earnestly hope that your firend would be able to resolve this matter at the earliest. Keep us posted!

The court agreed with my friend and delivered judgment against Microline. I guess  Microline will now assign a Senior person to follow this up.

Re: Ripped of by Microline Mobiles / mailorderphones.com

i am haveing the same problem. i got conned into takeing 2 contracts. the trick they use is no matter what date u start the contract on it takes 15 days for 3g to send the bills. so u will allways be late no matter how much you try. also the cashback department is the same shop. they just keep letting the phone ring and don't answer. And takeing them to court means nothing to them because not people bother with all the costs time ect. and the 3 dont help much either because they it is not the network that is giveing cashback it is the store where you got the contract from. so even if you complain to 3 they just it is nothing to do with them and mircoline will all most never pay you back the money you are owed. so please people next time you are thinking of takeing out a contract use a brand name store e.g carphonewarehouse phones 4 u or the network shops insted of being ripped off by these little shops

Re: Ripped of by Microline Mobiles / mailorderphones.com

I am glad that Sanajy had his cashback claim settled by Microline.

My only regret is why did Microline take so long to settle this claim.

My personal experience, as regards to cashback claims, with Mocroline has been satisfactory, considering that my claims have always been in excess of £1,000 at a time.

It would be interesting to know what went wrong between Microline and Sanjay, so others can steer away from such problems.

Congratulations to Sanjay for being persistant in getting his claim settled.

    Kind regards

    Nalin

    Hi there,

I am in the same situation and have called and emailed a number of times. They sold me a contract under false pretense and also have not refunded my cash back.

Please let me know if you get anywhere with your issue so I can follow the same suite.

I want this company to pay up because it is ridiculous how they rip people off.

    Thxs

Re: Ripped of by Microline Mobiles / mailorderphones.com

    Hi

Although I have not experienced this company, I know that unscrupulous practices for telecommunications companies can be reported to the regulatory body, OFCOM (www.ofcom.org.uk). They may not be able to get you your money back in the short-term, but they may be able to investigate and take action against the company for what they've been doing to yourself and other customers.

    Hope this helps.
