    Re: Retail Assistant Manager Salary

Try Monster.com or Reed.co.uk which both have links to get this information.

Be warned though - Retail is very poorly paid and £13K per annum for an Assistant Manager is probably about the going rate regardless of how high the turnover is. If you're lucky, they may offer a sales related bonus scheme but the store and area managers are likely to get the cream of this. - Good Luck!

    Retail Assistant Manager Salary

    Hello.

I'm about to apply for a promotion to assistant manager in the shop where I work in Bournemouth, Dorset. It is a very popular town centre shop. We average around 22-25000 quid a week, though over the xmas period we were doing around 50000 per week. We have 12 staff, though generally no more than four working at a time. We have a manager, and did have an assistant manager until she quit a couple weeks ago.

I have heard that the company is going to offer the new assistant 13000 per year, which works out to like 6.50 an hour, i.e. rather poor. I want to go into the interview armed with some facts about the average wage for a position such as this. I reckon, if I have the facts, I could negotiate a higher wage....

Now, is there a site where I can find this kind of data? Any help would be appreciated!

    -eli
