Re: refunds on foreign travel due to flu outbreak

Provided the Foreign Office advice isn't to avoid travelling you should be covered by your travel insurance if you book and then subsequently can't go.

refunds on foreign travel due to flu outbreak

hi there, can you help? i'm in the process of booking my honeymoon for Dec 09 to Argentina and Chile, i was planning on booking flights and hotels independently, as its much cheaper than going through one of these specialist trailmade travel companies. however if World Health Organisation was to recommend not to travel to these countries if the flu gets worst, would i loose my holiday and my money? if i pay with a credit card would they have to refund me? i understand travel insurance doesn't cover this event. would the airlines refund you if they had to cancel flights?

    thanks for your help
