Presumably your elderly relative will be getting £400 hand out this month from Govt?? (Winter Fuel Allowance)

Oh come on, name and shame.

Just a quick response, I Googled "social tariffs" and picked the first likely hit, one entry (without any recommendation) says this..

"The price you pay depends on how many people there are in your home and the number of bedrooms it has. All StayWarm customers must pay by monthly direct debit and the tariff is only available to those who are, or have someone over 60 years living in their home; have three bedrooms or less; have four or less people living in their home and take both gas and electricity from E.ON"

So I think there are suitable tariffs out there if you look.

Reduction in Gas & Electricity payments

    Hi

Does anyone know if any Gas & Electricity companies are offering reduced rates to households who have an elderly relative of 91 years old living with them but with 1 person in the household still working. My current Gas company will not offer anything due to someone in the household working.

    Thanks
