    The rate reductions have come with an increased reluctance to lend and more defaults on existing loans. Even though there is less demand for loans as people become more cautious the reductions are unlikely to filter through to personal loans.

    Reduction in bank rate

    I need a loan of £13k for a car to be paid over 3 yrs, is it worth waiting to see if the reduction in bank rate filters through to unsecured loans, I can’t seem to find a better rate than 8%
