    !! MANY THANKS maxstream !!

Re.your post -' I've secured a refund into my Bank Ac. once the DD including the charge has been withdrawn by contacting O2 once again and questioning the 'legality' of the charge being imposed when I was not informed at the time of requesting my second move within 12 months.. and the fact that I didn't purchase originally using 'hard-copy' signatures re. agreement with the Terms&Conditions.

Result - but I'll certainly be more careful / less laissez faire from now on in!!

One question to consider is whether and how they consider that you agreed to the terms and conditions. If you signed a document that mentioned the possible charge, then you should pay. If you agreed to subscribe over the phone and have never been asked to agree to the terms and conditions, then you can reasonably dispute the charge, particularly as you weren't told before the move.

Re. "Consumers still ripped off by charges hidden in the small print"

With regards to the news article released by Moneysupermarket.com 18th Dec. - It's the small-print/T.'n'C that infuriates the consumer because we are just meant to accept the charges that are incurred, in my case a house move retaining O2 as my Broadband provider incurring a charge of GBP50 - I initially queried the charge and am now questioning the validity- their records show that they did not notify me when I requested the change..

Would anyone be good enough to advise how I should proceed from here - the last from O2 Broadband Customer Service " I have been advised by the Duty Manager that the charge will stand because it is in our Terms andConditions " !!
