    Re: "Not at fault" claims

    Hi

You should report all accidents and claims to an Insurer, so that they can note the record. If the claim was dealt with solely under a 3rd parties policy and is not shown on your policies record, the new Insurers will just make a note.

If you have had any accidents or claims you are better off getting quotes by phone, so that you can provide accurate details. The online quote systems are generally not sophisticated enough to deal with this.

    "Not at fault" claims

    Hi all,

When getting an insurance quote it asks if you have made any claims and under this lists "Not at fault" accident. If I had an accident, but it was not my fault, and the third party paid for everything, does this count as a not at fault claim?

    Cheers

EDIT: I ask because, although it sounds obvious, I'm thinking is it an actual claim if it went through the third party and if this means I claimed off my own insurance but it wasn't my fault.
