    questions regarding credit scoring!

    hi,

im really trying to improve my credit score as it is currently poor, just a couple of questions i have an agreed overdraft with my bank barclays i have not exceeded this but use it every month will this affect my credit score, also i know it damages your score if you miss a payment on credit cards but what happens if i was to go over my limit? would this affect my credit score?

    sorry for all the questions

    thanks

    lisa

    Re: questions regarding credit scoring!

Your credit record will show your available pot of credit from all lenders. This is potential money you have available to you but not necessarily used. The larger the pot the less likely a new lender will offer you a loan/credit card. Your overdraft amount will be included in this "pot". If you go over this amount a default will be recorder (in the same way as missing a credit card payment).

To repair your credit rating you should concentrate on ensuring you pay your existing arrangements on time every time.
