Re: PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE - AXA ???

Hmm, I don't know of many insurers that send out Certs for PL; only where EL is part of the policy. Groupama do send PL certs but their policy numbers usually start WTTP or WTTR.

If the broker has set the policy up, this could just be their broker reference number. I find it hard to believe that no company name or FSA register number/company registration number is imprinted on any Certificate of insurance.

If you purchased through MoneySupermarket, one of the bods should be able to check for you ....

PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE - AXA ???

I purchased p/l insurance via a broker on moneysupermarket in March 2008. I now wish to alter some details on the policy, have called AXA this morning to be informed that the policy number given is not one of theirs. I do not have any other paperwork for the insurance only the p/l cert. Axa tell me that they dont send out Certificates of P/L.

Has anyone else purchased P/L insuracne and their policu starts with P followed by 6 numbers/further 1 number? Also, is there anyone i can contact, give them the policy number and they will be able to advise of the provider using the policy ref?

    Cheers
