Thanks for your reply, I'll write to them today. They have got this medical report already.

Sorry, about posting twice, I wasn't sure what section to put it in and thought this one was for experts/professional answers and the other just for advice from other forum users.

    Any help would be welcome.

Firstly you shouldn't ask twice. If you post questions twice, you are a lot more likely to get half the help than twice the help you expect.

One next step would be to write (not phone) to the insurer stating that you can provide a medical report. You should state that this is in French and you can provide a translation of this as long as the insurer will agree to include the cost of obtaining the translation in the claim.

Problem with Flexicover Direct Travel Insurance.

Basivly they're refusing to pay out on a claim after my daughter had a skiing accident. We're 600 euros out of pocket. The bill was over 500 euros for the piste rescue and a 40 euro hospital charge. We kept all the receipts.

Flexicover say we need a medical report. But the invoice from the hospital is also a medical report, all be it in French. They don't seem to be happy that its a medical report. Its titled Feuille des Soins which I'm told roughly translates as "signed medical report" and have been told that this is the standard french hospital paperwork.

The Dr has signed his name on it, he has ticked a box which says "maladie" from a list of options.

Insurance co seem to want something more detailed which we just don't have.

Also their policy and claim form does not even state that we need a medical report, just that we must keep receipts. So I think they're in the wrong saying we have to have one in the first place but its even worse that they're insisting on a different one from the one they've been given.

    Any help would be welcome.
