    Pipex Homecall- 0870 RIP OFF & ATROCIOUS SERVICE

    I moved house in November and asked to transfer my service. Pipex said they would need one months notice which I gave in writing. I got the new service at the new house but they did not cancel the old service and now 6 months later I am still trying to cancel it. All customer service enquiries are now on 0870 numbers and I have spent £35 trying to get through, they just keep you hanging on. I have sent emails and just get silly standard responses back from brain dead or non existant staff at the so called 'Customer Care team'. I have written several times and received no replies. Today I contacted OFCOM and logged a complaint and also OTELO who say I have to send them a recorded letter giving them 10 days to sort it out and if they dont then they will get involved. I now refuse to phone any 0870 numbers which are without doubt a huge money making scam.

    Pipex are a despicable company who do not care about their customers, all they want to do is keep them hanging on these expensive telephone lines as long as possible. If you are considering going to them please dont, they have been a nightmare over the 2 years I have been with them.
