Hi All
A little advice on what I can do next!
I changed last week from the solo package to the unlimited 8mb package.
All well and good on Friday I noticed my speeds were up to 5.5mb, so I downloaded some music and video files from a music site I subscribe to and then a couple of demos from Xbox live marketplace. Now since mid Sunday I have horrifically low upload rate. I've run speedtest on numerous occasions and have reached a max of 130kb (thats approximately a 1/4 of my old package rate!). Therefore can anybody answer the following:
1) have I invoked unacceptable use by downloading files that I normally load (allbeit slower) on my solo package. and if so, where is this on the Pipex website.
2)Will my line speed stabalise to something quicker after the TEN day setup period (i'm a little dubious about this being a stalling excuse)
3) Am I in a period of grace where I can cancel my contract.
4)Any way I can generate a quicker download rate. There are several streaming sites I use that are now unusable and xbox live gives up trying to sign me in out of boredomI'm
I'm now paying £8 more for a vastly inferior service.
From what I have read PIPEX seems to have become a very unscrupulous company
