Sorry "susieruth" but that is possibly the worst advice you could give.

DO NOT stop your DD unless it is a last resort. If you were not made fully aware of the Fair Usage Policy then you have resonable grounds for demanding that Pipex terminates your contract on the grounds of mis-selling. However, remember that Pipex is a large and extremely good company ant ensuring that they are 'just' on the side of the law and I would be very surprised if they had not made you aware of this during the sign-up process.

The only way you will be able to legally terminate your contract with Pipex is on the basis of:

    a) failure to provide the service described
    b) mis-selling or mis-representing the product/company described
    c) termination within the 'cooling off' period (only for 'distance selling')

If you are in any doubt, seek legal and qualified advice. Just stopping your DD will make you in breach of contract and you could end up in court.

    SHARK!

Stop your DD it works a treat, they then cancel your contract and you are free to go elsewhere

Pipex - anyway to get out of this contract?

    Hello all,

as this is my first post, i would like to apologise for any errors ive made.

basically like alot of other people im really not happy at all with the service im being provided with
as quite a heavy gamer im on ventrilo quite often but because of this "Fair usage policy" i cant get on vent at all whatsoever during the times of 6 - 11pm which are the main times im on it. Not only that ive tried to ring them up only to recieve no help whatsoever, I find this "Fair usage policy" extremely unfair and i find it quite rediculous paying them for something which i cant use such as ventrilo and msn. I therefor would highly appreciate any advice from people who have been succesful in terminating their contract.

    cheers,

    Seriz
