Thanks, I've just got back from holiday but will certainly give them a try! They made out like the cashback was cash in hand until I asked and they said it'd be paid into the bank, but I agree, your approach would be better!

go for it. but ask for the cash back there and then in the deal that is what myself and partner have done on our last three contracts( my last one they gave me £50 and my partner £100 ) so barter with them and if they don't offer cashback there and then tell them you won't take out the contract and walk away. i bet they will offer you it then worth a try anyway. let us know how you get on :)

Cat, I like the thought of recycling mobiles within the house - in reversal though, my mum's after mine!

Kate, I had a P4U 18m contract with cashback and it all went entirely smoothly.  Phone was a good one, too - have just converted it to PAYG for my daughter.

I used to have a contract with Phones 4 u, I can't say they were
brilliant to be honest but having said that I never had any real
problems either. They did everything I asked but sometimes it took a
while for them to do it. It used to get on my nerves that I couldn't
get an online bill, I had this huge envelope drop through the letterbox
every month. I would say that if it is a good deal then go for it
    because they weren't too bad.

My phone contract is wih phones 4u and I had no probs with the cashback, I just filled in the form they supply on the date required and enclosed my bill... they send a cheque a couple weeks later.

But if they're saying they'll have the money in your account within 21 days then I'm sure they will. I had no trouble at all with them.

Just go in the shop discuss it again and read the small print to satisfy yourself, and if you're not happy don't sign!

    Phones 4u - advice appreciated!

    Greetings all,

Have spent the past week deliberating whether to take out a contract via Phones 4u, with their £100 cashback deal. My contract with o2 runs out in Sept, and have been looking at a better phone and better tariff on another network. Have been with o2 for three years now, and am a little wary, to say the least, of changing!

Phones 4u say they can downgrade my current contract, give me the money for the remaining 2 bills, and the £100 cashback paid into my account within 21 days. This seems almost too good to be true - has anyone here dealt with them and have they come up trumps? Thanks in advance!
