Re: phoneland uk - contract cancel?

I now have a number for phoneland uK, try this one 0161 684 1515

they told me I can;t send it back etc etc, and if i do 3 will just send it back again, have also been chased by ADT a debt collecting agency.

however the man on the end of the phone at this number is sensible, and tells me that some of the lunatics at Phoneland have now lost their jobs! interesting huh

Re: phoneland uk - contract cancel?

Unfortunately I have gone one worse and stupidly put the sim card in which contracted me to 3 so as i have now got two contracts I have had to start using the 3 phone to use some of the minutes etc and have reduced my orange bill. Where so I stand here. I rang phoneland several times and once got through to be told my £100 cheque should be with me by end Jan obviously it has still not arrived!!!!! Now their contact number is unobtainable. my contract with Orange will be til September so hence I will have 9 months of two bills.

Re: phoneland uk - contract cancel?

i have also had a terrible experience with phoneland, and it all started dec last year. I was rung by a Sarah, who sold me a £28 3 contract, 1100 mix and match, new handset, £100 cashback as I was still tied to orange contract. 10 days later still no phone, because she had taken details wrong from my card. so they offered me blue tooth earpiece, to keep my custom. the phone did arrive before xmas but was not the colour I ordered, no earpiece, no cash back, and then correspondence from 3 showed I was actually signed up on £32 deal. i have cancelled my direct debit as I am not prepared to pay for something different to what I was sold. £32 is more than my current deal, so why would I sign up to a higher value contract???

i have tried calling customer service number for phoneland uk, but it just dials out. 3 have threatened me with bad credit rating, a debt collecting agency are calling me, and I have to pay an early cancellation fee. I still have the handset, but am reluctant to send it back, as I am not able to contact anyone there, except Sarah, who as soon as I start to complain puts the phone down on me (how about that for customer service?!) or tells me to call customer service no, even though i have told her no-one ever picks up.

    now what can I do?

Re: phoneland uk - contract cancel?

Hi --- This company has mislead you and misrepresented the fact that they work on behalf or with the permission of Orange who they said the new contract would be supplied through.

The fact they have supplied you with a 3 contract is their mistake, or if they tried to deny this they would be admitting to fraudulently misleading you into taking out a contract with 3 without your consent or knowledge. !!

You have done the right thing in returning the phone and you should follow up with a recorded letter to 3 which outlines how this phoneland company have fraudulently misrepresented the fact that you were sold a contract with them instead of Orange, stating that you consider this contract legally void but have not been able to contact phoneland after exhaustive efforts by yourself. ???

Tell them that under the circumstances it is they, "3" who should do all the chasing around to contact phoneland and not yourself, as it was misleadingly supplied to you under false pretences.

Ask them for a written acknowledgement by return within 14 days.
